rAAV-EF1α-DIO-Chronos-mCherry
Chronos is a new blue- and green-light drivable channelrhodopsin with high light sensitivity and faste switching kinetics, It is maximally excited by 500~530 nm light. The 1.2 Kb EF1α promoter is a commonly used, constitutive promoter derived from human elongation factor-1 alpha (EF1α). It is often used in conditions where the other constitutive promoters, such as CMV, have diminished activity or have been silenced.

Functional Gene Details
Chronos: Through high-throughput sequencing in Boyden's laboratory, it was discovered that high-current light-controlled channels that can respond to blue light can work under low-light conditions, and this power is not enough to activate ChrimsonR, so it can be used in conjunction with ChrimsonR to activate two different types of neurons. Moreover, Chronos has fast channel closing speed and can work at least at 40Hz frequency. The excitation light wavelength is 530nm.
